The Lying ManBook four in the Kat Ballantyne series and I’m going to be honest, it’s my favorite so far. Not only does Maslen tackle the classic locked-door mystery but the story approaches complex waters of vigilante justice, assault and the challenge of what is right legally and what is right morally.
The Silent WifeOkay, it’s official, I’m a fan of Andy Maslen. Three books deep in the first series of his that I’ve read and I can call it official. Not only because I’ve enjoyed three books but because my reading book four is already in progress. While there are things I wish were slightly different in the style or character arcs I’m enjoying the ride.
The Unseen SisterBook two of the year completed for me and book two in this series. Have I already gone off the rails of my planned reading for this year? Not completely (I’m still reading my planned, physically owned books in the evenings, after all.) Am I glad I decided to read book one, The Seventh Girl, and then dive into The Unseen Sister? Absolutely.
The Seventh GirlA new author and a new series for me is always going to be a tense read – not tense in terms of excitement (which this book did have) but tense in “is this worth my time?”
Turns out, Andy Maslen has a new fan. For now anyway.
