Another jointly written series by Kendra Elliot and Melinda Leigh. This novella series is fantastic and the quick reads were so enjoyable and well written.
Seconds to LiveMelinda Leigh did us all a favor with this series, she kept it to the Barrett family, giving us three books, focusing on each living sibling. In this installment we meet Mac Barrett the youngest and perhaps wildest of his siblings.
Minutes to Kill (Scarlet Falls #2)Hello Scarlet Falls and hello book two in yet another Melinda Leigh series. I’m back again and, once more, looking beyond the romance tag to the thriller and crime portions of this novel (while also enjoying the swoon worthy heroes and bad ass heroines of this tale).
Hour of Need (Scarlet Falls #1)My absolute obsession with Melinda Leigh continues! This series, focusing on different couples in the fictional small town of Scarlet Falls but while the town may be imaginary the characters and the plot feel intense and real.
A Bone to Pick (Widow's Island #2)As we return to Widow’s Island I have to say that while it was interesting that two authors were writing this series I found it easy to transition from Kendra Elliot to Melinda Leigh. Their styles are similar enough that I wasn’t completely thrown off by the change of author and I can only imagine the intense process they went through to accomplish this series. I’m always impressed when authors co-write books and series.
Close to the Bone (Widow's Island #1)Let me start this review off, for the first book in this series, to say the following- Kendra Elliot and Melinda Leigh both worked on this series together and going forward I will only put the author of the particular book. Just remember that both of these amazing authors had a hand in the entire series. Another item to note is that characters here also connect to characters in another joint series by these authors, the Rogue River series.
A Merciful Promise(Mercy Kilpatrick #6)Well, let’s see, we’re on book number six which is also the final book in this series. Knowing that I took my time with the book, as much as I could with how concerned I was over Mercy and the fate of her loved ones.
A Merciful Fate(Mercy Kilpatrick #5)Book number five is here and I’m so glad to have read it and be able to tell everyone about it. Again we walk the line of talking about how amazing a story is without offering spoilers but, bear with me, I am going to try and offer enough of a review without telling you major plot points.
