For He Can CreepRecently released on Tor.com is a short story worth being shouted about from the rooftops. For He Can Creep by Siobhan Carroll, who’s other short fiction can be found in many anthologies, can be read in its entirety for free on Tor.com. The tale is a short story set in an asylum in the 1700s told from the point of view of Jeoffry, the cat of a poet who was committed to the asylum some time before.
ne0;lationMany manga come and go from the pages of Shonen Jump magazine. Some have decades long runs and become foundation works within the genre. Others find themselves canceled rather unceremoniously. At only 19 chapters, ne0;lation written by Tomohide Hirao and art by Mizuki Yoda is a manga that, I believe, was canceled too soon. What few reviews I’ve found on this newer addition to Shonen Jump rate it rather mediocrely – a manga that wasn’t terrible but didn’t keep their attention either.
Fence, Vol. 1Fence, Vol. 1 by C.S. Pacat, Johanna the Mad, Joana LaFuente, and Jim Campbell is a graphic novel for young adults. The first volume collects issues 1 through 4 into a full color collection.
I am a bit late on this TBR considering the Reading Rush readathon has already started, but I wanted to share what I’ll be reading over the course of the next week. Reading Rush is an annual readathon hosted by BookTubers Ariel Bissett and Raeleen Lemay. The readathon was begun in 2013 under the name “BookTubeAThon,” but changed names this year.

My Hero Academia: School Brief, Vol. 1: Parents' DayMy Hero Academia is a superhero manga that has taken the world by storm. Since the manga’s 2014 debut in Shonen Jump, it has acquired two spinoffs – My Hero Academia Vigilantes, following a group of vigilante heroes, and My Hero Academia Smash!!, a comedic four panel rendition of moments not shown in the manga. Now, a light novel is also available starting with My Hero Academia: School Briefs, Vol. 1: Parents’ Day. Written by Anri Yoshi based on Kohei Horikoshi’s series and ideas, this story takes place after the student’s internships as they prepare for Parent’s Day.
